Lauren + Ronaldo | Intimate, Urban Wedding | Veritas | Jackson, MI

We are often defined by the company we keep. Whether good or bad, most of us are not only known by who we are as an individual, but also by those we spend our time and our lives with. This “community” we have around us plays a huge role in our lives, so it is only fitting that on a day like your wedding, you would invite those friends and family to be a part of it. But when you get the opportunity to incorporate that community into every aspect of your celebration, that is the moment when something truly unique is born.

The story of Lauren and Ronaldo is the story of two people who are driven, determined, and most of all, completely in love with each other. Their wedding in downtown Jackson was marked by a cityscape aesthetic as the ceremony and reception both took place at Veritas; a local restaurant owned by good friends of Lauren and Ronaldo’s. The day felt relaxed and simple, as Lauren and Ronaldo decided to forego a bridal party and instead enjoy more time celebrating with all of their friends during cocktail hour. To say that these two understand the importance of their community would be an understatement.

The city of Jackson truly blew us away. Although we have driven past the Jackson exit on I-94 many times on our travels, we have never had the chance to explore what this south Michigan city has to offer until Lauren and Ronaldo’s Wedding. As if the city was trying to match with Lauren and Ronaldo’s vibe, we found beautiful white pillared buildings in the same neighborhood as elaborate murals that adorned the streets with creative patterns and pops of color. From their emotional first look to their iconic sunset session, the whole day was filled with Lauren and Ronaldo sharing over and over again how stunning each other looked and how excited they were to finally be married.

Lauren and Ronaldo, the passion that you two have, both for each other but also for life itself, is inspiring. The way that you hold nothing back and give it your all has carried you this far as individual people, and we know that your desire to fully commit to whatever is in front of you is the perfect perspective to have as you enter into your marriage. We can’t wish you more congratulations, not only for finally becoming husband and wife, but also for Ronaldo becoming a citizen of the USA!
