Tessa and Michael | Engagement Shoot | Grand Rapids, MI

Traffic bustled on all sides as the sounds of the city rose in a cacophonous symphony. The streets were completely filled with people and traffic, but as Tessa and Michael strolled along the sidewalk, it almost felt like the city and its patrons understood that this evening was special for the two of them. Crowds dispersed and the traffic disappeared, revealing a beautiful canvas for the evening’s portraits. Tessa and Michael both knew that this would be one of their last evenings in Grand Rapids, as the east side of the state had recently called them into a new season of life, so what better way to spend their engagement session than in the same place where they not only met but also fallen in love?

Tessa and Michael, from now on when we think of Grand Rapids, we are quite sure we will be thinking of you two. The fondness that you both shared for the city was clearly felt as you shared stories and memories of the years spent on the same streets we walked that evening. However, that fondness paled in comparison to the love and fondness you both showed towards each other, and we can clearly see that no matter where you two end up, you both will love it there because that’s where you will be together. We cannot wait to see you again, and this time, on the east side on your wedding day!
