Is it possible to truly have the “best of both worlds?” Although some believe it might be impossible, for one brief moment, David truly had the best of both worlds as he stood on the stage inside of a tiny chapel, seeing his bride walking towards him. Sarah stepped forward into the sanctuary, finally allowing David to see the dress she had kept hidden for so long. He waited with anticipation as she walked forward and excitedly stepped down to meet her hand with his as she arrived at the stage. But instead of a crowd watching them, it was just the two of them, as David was able to enjoy seeing his bride walking down the aisle and have a first look…a moment that was truly the best of both worlds.

The sun rose on the Morris Estate’s white chapel, a perfect canvas for Sarah’s vision of her wedding day! The soft sages mixed perfectly with the purest of white in the florals, providing a delicate yet definite aesthetic that wove through the entire wedding day. The tiniest details from the flower petals being thrown by the crowd to unique invitation designs were all carefully prepared in accordance with Sarah’s vision, allowing each moment of the day to flow seamlessly into the next. From their romantic “down the aisle” first look to their golden hour portraits in front of the chapel, Sarah and David’s day was completely filled with moments that we are now thrilled to share with the world.

The intention and design behind Sarah and David’s wedding cannot be understated, as months of planning finally culminated on a beautiful, cool day in August at the Morris Estate in Niles, MI. We had already been able to spend the evening with Sarah and David at the Morris Estate during their engagement session, but this day brought new life and joy to the grounds of the venue! With every aspect of the day within a short walking distance, guests were greeted after the ceremony with a lovely cocktail hour followed by an evening full of celebration on the dance floor under Morris’ spacious canopy.

David and Sarah, with your “mini-moon” coming to a close, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate you two entering into life as husband and wife than with the photos below. The intention behind your day truly speaks to your love for both each other and those around you as you made sure to not only spend time with each other, but all of your friends and family who came to celebrate with you. We are beyond honored to have been a part of this season of your life, and even more honored to have witnessed a truly beautiful “best of both worlds” moment.
