Her laughter could be easily heard over the howling winds as he escorted her through the side streets of Detroit. Although the chilling temperatures would normally bring an abrupt end to the fun evening, Riley and Peter were determined to enjoy their engagement photos to the fullest, no matter the cost. From crossing busy streets to exploring the inner sanctuaries of the Detroit Institute of Arts, this engagement shoot literally felt like it was right out of a magazine!

The following engagement session is brought to you by Riley and Peter, two of the sweetest, kindest people you will ever get to meet! After sifting through some of Michigan’s most iconic engagement shoot options, these two decided that the Detroit Institute of Arts would be the perfect backdrop to celebrate not only themselves but also their wedding later next year! And celebrate they did, as Riley intentionally paired their playful, casual outfits to the DIA’s timeless outer architecture while saving their formal attire for the city vibe of the DIA’s very own Rivera Court.

Riley and Peter, if our short time with you showed us one thing, it’s that you both are quite simply the epitome of joy and fun. Not even the cold and wind of a Michigan December could stop us from having simply the best evening with you two. Even though we often joked about it throughout the evening, we still can’t wait for the day that we get to celebrate with you two and it isn’t 30 degrees outside! See you in the summer you two! It’s going to be such an adventure!
