The dance floor could not be silenced. Rebecca had just stepped into the center of the crowd, inciting cheers from both families, as she began to twirl across the floor. This display infused a fresh, new energy into the crowd, as they then made room for Peter to join his wife on the dance floor. It could not have been a more perfect representation of the day: Rebecca and Peter surrounded both by their two families and the love that they all had for the bride and groom. It is often said that marriage is not just two people joining together, but two families; and in Rebecca and Peter’s case, this beautiful truth made their wedding day celebration even more heart-felt and symbolically precious.
From the first moments of the wedding day to the very last dance, family was at the heart of Rebecca and Peter’s celebration. As Peter and his groomsmen began to prepare for the day ahead, a special surprise arrived in the form of letters for him to read before the day began. So often, brides and grooms will write each other letters on the wedding day, sharing their excitement and hopes for the future ahead of them. But on this morning, Peter not only received letters from his wife-to-be, but also both her parents as well, expressing their gratitude of Peter’s love for their family thus far. Rebecca specifically requested the opportunity to see not only her father before the ceremony in a private moment, but her brother, Nicholas, as well before setting off for the church. Peter’s face was completely beaming when he saw his fiancé walk down the aisle, a moment that he had been dreaming of ever since he had placed her engagement ring on her finger. The ceremony was filled with symbolism and all of the rites of a traditional Catholic mass, culminating in the newest Mr. and Mrs. Soares exiting down the aisle to thunderous applause from all corners of the cathedral. After a few family portraits, the couple, along with the rest of their bridal party, was whisked away by shuttle to one of Midland’s most iconic landmarks, the Tridge, for a round of portraits; first with the bridal party and then a solo session with Rebecca and Peter. Even though the park was often crowded during the weekend, a fortuitous change in weather allowed Rebecca and Peter to practically have the park to themselves, a beautiful lull in the day for them to take in and experience all of the emotions they had experienced over the last few hours. Upon their return to the H Hotel, a beautiful cocktail hour and even more stunning reception room awaited them, as the teams of Page Wedding Planning and the H Hotel perfectly executed Rebecca’s vision for a sleek, elevated reception experience for their guests. Rusch Entertainment provided a relaxed atmosphere for the usual pleasantries at the beginning of the reception before launching into a symphony of songs that quickly drew the entire room to the dance floor. And there, in the middle of it all, was Rebecca and Peter, more in love and more excited for the future than they had ever been in their entire lives.
Rebecca and Peter, thank you for giving us a front row seat to beautiful moments that remind us why we are in the wedding world. Moments like the look in Peter’s eyes the first time he saw Rebecca or when Peter’s parents gave him their blessing at the beginning of the day are still replaying through our minds even days after witnessing them in person. Your friends said it best, the kindness and loyalty you two have shown to the world through your lives are now beautiful gifts you get to share with each other every day from here on out, and with your two families coming together and celebrating over you in such a fantastic fashion, we know that we can expect even greater things from you two as the newest Mr. and Mrs. Soares!
All our best!
