As we close out the “Charleston Collection” series on our blogs, we begin to feel the same emotions we had as we departed Charleston for the plane ride home. Something about the town seems to deposit a part of itself inside you, and before you know it, you feel an intimate connection with the buildings, the streets, and everything else that makes Charleston completely unique. That beautiful “uniqueness” is what completes the Charleston collection, as Alexandra and Josh joined in a wedding shoot that pushes the boundaries of weddings dreams while still allowing the grace and romance of each detail to purely shine.
Our session time with the bride and groom could only be described as “transcendent,” as Alexandra and Josh channeled poise and charm while still allowing their own joyful personalities to shine through. Middleton Place’s elaborate garden maze created a scene that truly felt as though it had stepped out of a dream, perfectly framing Alexandra and Josh in a mixture of Charleston’s Spanish moss and dazzling sunlight.
While most brides are dreaming of the florals, others tend to think outside the box, and this session in Charleston was a perfect example of pairing these two perspectives into one. Timeless details and dinner parties on the lawn created a familiar backdrop that many wedding patrons would be used to, while the inclusion of Middleton Place’s famous sheep herd into Alexandra and Josh’s bridal portraits provided just enough flair to set this session apart from all the others! Creativity and flair simply exuded from this final Charleston session, and we couldn’t think of a better way to end out the blogs of the Charleston collection.
