Olivia + Jeremy | Engagement Shoot | Kalamazoo, MI

The quiet waves slowly lapped over the rocks of the shore near the lake house. Although they had walked out onto the dock so many times before, this evening was particularly special. Olivia and Jeremy had just spent the last couple of hours retracing their steps through their love story by visiting not only downtown Kalamazoo and but also the DeLucia family’s lake house. Both of these locations held a special place in their relationship with the many evenings and weekends spent walking the streets of Kalamazoo and enjoying times by the water, and they provided the perfect backdrop for Olivia and Jeremy’s romantic date-night engagement shoot.

Starting off their engagement session in downtown Kalamazoo was the perfect start to the evening, as Olivia and Jeremy were able to share part of their dating story as we talked from location to location. Although many date nights had happened in Kalamazoo, it was obvious that the lake house Olivia’s family owned was equally as important to them, and since it was just outside of the city, we were able to combine two sessions into one in an evening that was filled with good times from the beginning to closing out their engagement shoot with a pop of the bottle and a dance on the dock.

Olivia and Jeremy, thank you so much for giving us a glimpse into the story you two have lived so far. Between the laughter and the tender moments, it’s so encouraging to see how to you have not only welcomed each other into the lives you already had, but how you also have created a new life together. Here’s to the next few months of adding even more beautiful moments and memories to this life as you both move closer to wedding day!
