The timing could not have been more perfect. Clouds which had changed between white and gray throughout the day now shown with a dazzling array of reds, oranges, and yellows. Cushing Field House had sprung to life as the music and laughter from the reception could still reach the ears of Myranda and Jake as they stole away for a few precious moments together. The field lay before them, beckoning the bride and groom to come and enjoy the peace and quiet after the whirlwind of a day they had just experienced. As Myranda and Jake walked across the lawn, they softly came together in a warm embrace as the sun set over the horizon.
The grounds of the Cushing Field House lay quiet as the cool morning air ushered both Myranda and Jake’s wedding parties onto the property. Even though the threat of inclement weather loomed, Myranda and Jake were completely invested in the day, along with their friends who made it their personal mission to ensure that the bride and groom would have the perfect day. As the ceremony drew close, a call for “all hands on deck” rang out as guests prepared to celebrate with Myranda and Jake wherever the couple decided. Thankfully, patience won the day as the final call was held to the last possible second, allowing the bride and groom to get married in the exact spot they wanted; outside and in full view of everyone important to them.
Although some would think that the weather would have been the main focus of conversation, it quickly faded into the background as both Jake and the guests had their first glimpse of Myranda as she walked down the aisle. The sound of tears falling replaced the sound of raindrops as these two were finally able to hold hands, share their vows and first kiss, and duck back inside as the clouds rolled back in. Thankfully, Cushing Field House is no stranger to these kinds of conditions, and their team, along with Hazel and Grey Events, were able to still bring Myranda’s wedding dreams to life throughout the main banquet hall.
Myranda and Jake, we rarely get the opportunity to see our couples face hardships together, especially on a wedding day. The way that you both refused to lose your focus or give up showed not only us, but also your guests that together, you are going to be able to handle whatever life throws at you. There were so many moments of your day that we hold dear, but none were as precious as when we saw you both standing at the ceremony, knowing that it was truly a miracle for the weather to clear up so quickly for the ceremony. So here’s to perfect timing, and here’s to the newest Mr. and Mrs. Stopin!
All our best!
