It felt as though we had taken a step back in time. Not like in the movies where people go back hundreds or thousands of years, mind you, but maybe just 80-90 years, to a simpler time. Back to when houses were built in a way that complimented the land around it, in a beautiful balance of stunning architecture and flourishing landscaping. The grounds of the Ford House exude a quiet magnificence that can only be appreciated as you walk the grounds, and as we strolled along the paths and took in the scenery, we felt that this evening with Myranda and Jake was going to be something truly special.
From the first moments of their session starting, Myranda and Jake effortlessly displayed a soft romance that few couples can pull off. Thankfully, the Ford House, nestled in the northern suburbs outside Detroit, was up to the task of being a venue that could measure up to the whimsical romance these two had envisioned for their engagement shoot. Whether we were walking through the elaborate rose garden or exploring the house courtyard, each turn brought us new beauty to the point that we have already decided that we want to come back ourselves for a date day in the future!
Myranda and Jake, we couldn’t think of a better pairing of two people after we spent the evening with you. The spark you two have in your eyes when you look at each other and something many couples dream of, yet as we look through your portraits, we see that glimpse of romance and love over and over again, from the front of the Ford House, to the gardens and main gate. Although we have to wait until next year to see you two, this evening simply made that more difficult, as we can’t wait to see you two again and celebrate your wedding day! Can 2023 just be here already?
All our best!
