Michelle and Kevin | Engagement Shoot | Chicago, IL

Things are often more than they appear. For example: the city of Chicago. If one were to ask someone to describe the city of Chicago, words like “buildings,” “busy,” and “traffic” would instantly jump to their mind. But what if we were to tell you that on a specific evening in September, our time in Chicago was filled with one word: “nature.” From the green trees, beautiful flowers, and the bluest of waters, we were able to experience a new side of the Windy City, and Michelle and Kevin ended up being the perfect pair to enjoy it with.

Lincoln Park is near and dear to Michelle and Kevin’s heart, especially since it is practically in their backyard. Since Bentley, their pup, often joins them for walks through the park, it seemed only fitting to begin their engagement session with the third and furriest member of the family, before splitting off onto our own personal adventure in the park. As if the evening wasn’t perfectly enough, North Avenue Beach, our final and favorite location to capture Chicago’s stunning skyline was only a short walk from Lincoln Park, completing a stunning evening in Chicago without the worries or concerns of traffic or crowds.

Michelle and Kevin, we still can’t believe the beauty you two were able to share with us in the middle of downtown Chicago. Not only were you able to show us your own “backyard,” but we were also able to see first-hand how lovely your little family is. From meeting Bentley to laughing and chatting between the park and the pier, the evening was simply too short. Thankfully, we’ll be able to spend the whole day with you next year as we get to celebrate you all over again!
