Trust is something that needs to be built. It would be almost impossible to walk up to someone you have never met and then instantly trust them and what they say. However, over time that trust can begin to grow as we begin to depend on others for help when we need it most. Photographers hope that their couples trust them when it comes to their portraits, but the fact still remains; trust has to be earned. When Lauren and Ronaldo’s first location for their engagement photos fell through, their trust in us ultimately allowed us to perfectly capture both their love for each other and their excitement to be married!

Even in the dead of winter, Michigan seems to always have the perfect locations for our couples and their dreams for their engagement shoot. Lauren and Ronaldo were able to experience this truth first-hand as the campus at the University of Michigan, the alternative location we decided on the day before their session, truly made all of the stress and last-minute changes worth it! After we combined their stunning outfit choices with the iconic campus, the life and joy this engagement shoot displayed almost made us forget that we are still technically in the “dead of winter.”

Lauren and Ronaldo, your trust in us means more than you could possibly know. Even as we walked from building to building, we know that you both were putting all of your hopes into this evening, and as we pulled up your photos to begin this blog, we collectively knew that it had all been worth it! We can’t believe we get to repeat this again with you two soon, and celebrate your upcoming wedding day all over again!
