Lake St. Clair Sailboat Engagement Session | Bela + Nathan

Nothing compares to being invited into the world of our couples. Even though we spend a lot of time in the city as Detroit Wedding Photographers, our couples sometimes lead us in new directions and with new inspiration. For Bela and Nathan, that direction led us to Lake St. Clair and a sailboat engagement session that would be forever etched into our memories.

Bela and Nathan strolled down the deck to their friend’s ship, their personal transportation for the evening. The soft breeze calmly guided the ship out to open water. As the sail was lowered and the ship picked up speed, Bela and Nathan spent their sailboat engagement session exploring each and every section of the deck. Ironically, Nathan had spent some time already helping others on their boats, so he was able to assist in the regular workings of sailing. As a crescendo to the evening, the sun became a paid actor by the end of the evening. It slowly dipped behind the clouds to reveal a myriad of hues and shades, beckoning the ship back into the safe haven of the harbor.

Bela and Nathan, we can still remember the excitement in Bela’s voice when she shared her dream of a sailboat engagement session more than a year ago. How beautiful to see that dream become a reality! Spending the evening with you two was simply a delight, and we already look forward to the time we are able to spend with you next year at the Masonic Temple.
