Kara + Ryan | A Grandiose Date Night in Downtown Detroit | The Detroit Institute of Art | Detroit, MI

Pure perfection. The temperature was cool; and the light, soft and pleasing. It was a far cry from the evening a few weeks earlier, the first night that Kara and Ryan had set aside for their engagement session. Storms had blown through in a cascade that would have torn apart umbrellas and dampened even the highest of spirits. But this night? It was like it had been made uniquely for these two. The combination of the granite white stone of the Detroit Institute of Arts combined with the grandiose architecture of the Detroit Central Station created an air of grandeur that was everything Kara and Ryan had imagined, and then some. As the sun slowly set over the horizon, Kara and Ryan held each other’s hands, walked off into the sunset, and into our memories as a truly perfect evening.

Kara and Ryan, after our first failed attempt to spend the evening with you due to those pesky storms, we can confidently say that holding off until the perfect evening with you two was so worth the wait. You both exude an incredibly kind yet playful spirit, and as we look through your photos one last time, we can practically hear the laughter and feel the joy from the evening with you all over again. We are already picturing your wedding day in our minds, and in it, we see that very same joy and laughter woven through each and every moment. It is our hope in this world to meet couples like you who can truly embrace their relationship in all the fullness of joy, and we are so thankful that we have the honor to capture your wedding day next year!
