The hallways echoed with the soft sound of their footfalls. Moments ago, the room had been filled with laughter and conversation; but now, as their guests prepared themselves for the evening’s festivities, Erin and Brett took one last walk with each other before entering the reception. Their story so far had consisted of twists and turns, joys and sorrows, but now, just like the grand hallway in front of them, the path forward seemed all too clear. Erin and Brett’s journey to this day was finally finished, and now, a new path lay before them. Giving each other a knowing look, Erin and Brett turned the corner and entered the reception, to the thunderous applause of their friends and family.

The quiet streets of downtown Birmingham began to spring to life as Erin and Brett arrived at the Daxton Hotel to prepare for their wedding day. Both of Erin’s nieces, who had be given the honor of being her flower girls, had a look of awe and wonder throughout the morning as they watched Erin transform into a beautiful bride. The grand suites provided the perfect ambiance of elegance for them both to get ready in. As an only child, this time with Erin and her mother was uniquely special as Erin made her final preparations to see Brett for the first time. Although the streets were crowded with traffic outside the church, it felt as if Erin and Brett were the only two people in the world, nestled in Sanctuary’s private garden alcove for their first look. Joy leapt onto Brett’s face as he turned around and saw Erin for the first time, before he quickly approached her and exclaimed “You ready to get married?” A short ceremony later, and Erin and Brett’s dream was finally realized as they walked out of the church and into the sunlight; the newest Mr. and Mrs. Bukari. Both the bridal party and guests quickly made their way across town to the Daxton, a venue perfectly designed for both congregation and celebration. While Erin and Brett enjoyed a cocktail hour with portraits and mingling, the staff of the Daxton and Viviano completed the final touches on a reception space that could only be described as awe-inspiring. As the guests entered, they were greeted with immaculately-designed tablescapes, elaborate design and decor, and rows upon rows of sweets and treats for the evening ahead. The pair entered to the applause of the room and were quickly whisked off into an evening full of good food, good drinks, and good times.

Erin and Brett, we’ve truly been through thick and thin together. Over the last year, our adventures have taken us through freezing temperatures, a road trip across Lake Michigan, and finally the finish line of your wedding day. Through it all, we’ve seen what was so clearly conveyed in your vows; you both have earned this beautiful relationship. Your love not only has excitement and romance, but also a beautiful depth that not many people can claim on their wedding day. Because of your story so far, we are beyond confident that this next season of life is going to be even more beautiful than the one before.
