Ellen + Josh | Romantic, City Engagement Shoot | The Fields Museum | Chicago, IL

“Good things come to those who wait.” This adage played in our heads over and over as we celebrated Ellen and Josh during their engagement shoot. This session has been in the works for the past few weeks, but due to weather, we decided to take our chances and push their engagement shoot further into the month of October and possibly closer to the colder temperatures. However, none of us could have imagined how perfect the evening would turn out, from the timing of the beautiful sunlight at the Fields Museum to the lovely blue hour glow to finish out Ellen and Josh’s engagement session!

Although Chicago is becoming a staple for our engagement shoots, we always want to explore and find new, romantic locations for our couples, and Ellen and Josh could not have been a better pair to spend the evening with as we explored the grandiose Fields Museum. The term “graceful” kept coming to our minds as we saw Ellen and Josh effortlessly exude an aesthetic that truly made them look like they had just stepped out of an issue of Vogue or Vanity Fair. Chicago itself seemed to be aware of Ellen and Josh’s engagement shoot, as an especially windy day gave way to an almost completely calm evening, completely with beautiful light and an even more stunning couple!

Ellen and Josh, from exploring Lurie Gardens to having interesting conversations with Uber drivers, this entire evening felt like a beautiful homage to both you and your city! You two perfectly captured what love and romance looks like while not only making it look effortless, but also, fun! We are beyond thrilled that your wedding is already almost upon us next year, since it means that we will get to see you two sooner rather than later. Until then, make sure to enjoy lots of Starbucks and this beautiful season of simply being engaged!
