Downtown Detroit Coffee Shop Engagement Session | Meghan + Brett

As Detroit wedding photographers, finding new, exciting locations to shoot in the downtown becomes harder every year. While consistency is something to be praised, the discovery of new, beautiful locations is a true joy in the city. Thankfully, Meghan and Brett had a suggestion that combined their story thus far with their engagement shoot design for a perfect crescendo to their afternoon with us.

After strolling down the street from the Book Tower where the first half of their session ended, Meghan and Brett slipped into the corner downtown Detroit coffee shop, Cannelle. The aroma of baked goods combined with the allure of fresh coffee, welcoming all who entered the shop. Like so many times before, they sat next to the window once they had their drinks, reminiscing about the many afternoons and evenings they had spent together in this same cafe. It was almost as if the moments and memories of past dates joined together in the present, reminding them of their beautiful story thus far and the grand adventure ahead of them.

Meghan and Brett, it’s not often that we leave an engagement session already planning our own return visit to a location. Your love for Cannelle has already been passed to us, and now we can always remember the lovely time we had with you two when we return someday. We are already counting down the days to celebrating you two at the DAC next year!
