Angela + Will | Engagement Shoot | Chicago, IL

The streets lights were just beginning to come to life as the city slowly transformed into its nightly form. Although the crowds had slightly cleared, a general hustle and bustle was still present and would continue to be for the next couple of hours. Strolling down the staircase, Angela softly held Will’s hand, both to lead and to feel connected as they traversed one of Chicago’s grand staircases down to the riverwalk. The patrons parted on either side, allowing the couple a clear path through the romantic city scape as they celebrated both their engagement and their future together.

When Angela and Will asked us about engagement photos in Chicago, they made a specific request that gave us a new perspective on their session: “We love Chicago, but we aren’t getting married here. We’d love to have an elegant, city vibe, but not with the normal ‘Chicago’ look.” That one request completely transformed how we looked at Chicago and how Angela and Will fit into this session. Instead of simply trying to find the quintessential “Chicago scenery,” the four of us were able to explore and create a completely unique aesthetic that seemed to compliment not only Angela’s and Will’s outfit choices, but also their personalities.

Angela and Will, we could not have dreamed of a better couple to end out our official 2023 wedding season. The fact that we already knew you in advance still did not prepare us for how much we would genuinely enjoy the evening with you two! You truly brought both class and elegance to this session while still staying true to who you were as people. From running the streets to crossing the walkways, the city couldn’t hold a candle to you two. Although we’ve already been at a wedding with you before, we are so excited that the next time we see you at a wedding, it will be yours.
