Weddings

“Before we start this evening, can we just give a round of applause for how beautiful my wife looks?” The room exploded in applause for Alyssa, but it was obvious that in that moment, these two were blissfully unaware of the rest of the world as they gazed at each other. This sweet moment perfectly captures the pure and simple love these two share for each other, and when a couple brings that kind of love to their wedding, you just know it is going to be a special day. Thankfully, we had already captured Alyssa and Zach’s proposal and engagement photos, so we were excitedly prepared for the stunning love these two were bringing to their wedding day!

Although we do our very best to capture the day in a few paragraphs, we keep coming up short on describing just how beautiful this day was. From Zach’s uncle officiating the wedding and Alyssa’s cousins playing music for the processional, to the signature drinks of the evening being named after Alyssa and Zach’s fur babies, these two were so intentional about having their family being infused into every aspect of the day. But as beautiful as the little touches were, nothing compared to Alyssa and Zach’s portrait time, where these two effortlessly stole the show!

Our story with Zach and Alyssa began on a beach in New Buffalo as Zach knelt down to propose to his girlfriend, so it’s only fitting that we would end this chapter just a few miles away at their venue at North Lake Wedding Venue. Although rain clouds threatened all day, the storms magically held off until the last photo was taken and the last guest was inside. Thankfully, North Lake was the perfect size to not only fit all of Alyssa and Zach’s family and friends, but also allow for an amazing dance floor as well where Alyssa completely stole the show by a mid-reception dress change into her mother’ redesigned wedding dress!

Alyssa and Zach, this is one of the most bitter/sweet blogs we have ever had to write, because we know it means that this chapter is sadly coming to an end. From first meeting you on the beach, to getting pizza and getting to know you as friends, all the way through to saying goodbye on the dance floor, you have brought such a light and joy to our lives, just as you do with everyone else around you. But thankfully, we know that when a chapter ends, that means new ones can now begin, and we can’t wait to see how the new Mr. and Mrs. Lear impact this world! And just maybe, we will get to be a part of those chapters as well!
