Ally and Nick | An Ethereal Lake-Side Engagement Shoot | New Buffalo, MI

The slow walk through the water was naturally beginning to speed up, almost in concert with Ally’s joyful laugher. Coarse sand washed off their feet as they began to pick up speed. Ally and Nick held hands tightly as they had done the entire evening, ending out a beautiful evening at the beach with an energetic sprint through the surf. After a few rushing moments of excitement, they finally began to slow down back to a stroll. Ally and Nick both looked out across the water into the horizon, as if they were looking far off into the future and imagining what their wedding day would be like. Hand in hand, they continued down the beach, their footsteps disappearing into the wet sand.

Ally and Nick, we still remember driving away from your engagement session and remembering the kindness and love we witnessed throughout the evening. So many people think about the engagement season being purely about romance, but you two have gone so much deeper in your relationship and we could tell from the first moments that your love has a depth that is truly special. Even though snow is already falling these days, the warmth we feel when we look back to your engagement photos helps us become even more excited to see you too again and celebrate you next year!
