Alexis + Connor | Engagement Shoot | Grand Rapids, MI

A good plan can be the difference between something good and something great. In a world filled with last minute decisions and spur of the moment ideas, a well-designed plan can take “the normal” and turn it into something truly special. After Alexis wrote us weeks before her engagement shoot with her own inspiration for the evening, we decided to fully lean into the planning process along with Alexis and Connor to create an aesthetically romantic evening in the familiar downtown streets of Grand Rapids.

As Alexis and Connor walked up to us, we already knew this evening would end up better than we had even dreamed. Not only were they dressed to the nine’s, but their fun-loving spirits allowed them to truly enjoy the evening. Whether they were nestled together in the back booth of a local bar or toasting to their love on the rooftops, Alexis and Connor embodied what so many couples think about when they hear the phrase “engagement photos.” As the sun set over the Grand Rapids skyline, we knew that this was only be the beginning of our part in Alexis’ and Connor’s story.

Alexis and Connor, exploring downtown Grand Rapids has never been more fun than when we were able to do it with you for your engagement shoot! The little laughs and jokes that you shared throughout the session not only had us laughing, but also brought a joy to your photos that perfectly balanced your stunning outfit choices. Your attention to detail is second only to your attention to each other, and now that we have seen you two together, we know that you are going to make the most beautiful bride and groom!
