As they took their first steps away from the altar, a round of applause roared through the crowd. The sun, as if on cue, began to shine brightly as Jenna and Steven stepped out from the shadows of Shepherd’s Hollow and into the cheers of their friends and family. The day that was literally years in the making had finally arrived, and none were more excited than the newest Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz. In a true moment of spontaneity, Steven, overcome with joy and in a flurry of movement, scooped Jenna up in his arms and carried her off into an evening full of celebration.

The story of Jenna and Steven’s wedding began long before the moment they said “ I do” in front of the Station at Shepherd’s Hollow. While morning preparations began across town, Jenna and Steven started their day in matching executive suites of the Townsend Hotel. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the day, a special guest was still able to join them that morning, as their fur baby, Roary, arrived to visit and celebrate with the couple. With their bridal parties prepared and dressed to perfection, Jenna and Steven were free to board their respective transportation and begin their journey to the beauty that waited for them.

Arriving at Shepherd’s Hollow was like arriving to the opening scene of a modern-day fairytale. The design team of K. Adam Events perfectly brought Jenna’s exquisite vision to life, delicately leaning into the timeless, black and white aesthetic of Shepherd’s Hollow while also tying in elements of grandiose greenery throughout the design. The stage was set, and preparations were complete; but while the sound of arriving guests filled the ceremony space, an intimate moment took place in a hidden corner of the venue. Jenna and Steven decided long ago to share their vows privately with each other, while still making sure that they could not see each other’s faces until the moment when Jenna walked down the aisle. When that beautiful moment came, all stood in unison, their hearts mesmerized by the stunning bride, as Jenna was escorted by both her father and step-father down the steps and straight to the love of her life. With vows and rings shared, Jenna and Steven were pronounced husband and wife to the world as they stepped into the light and into the future.

Statement pieces from Alyssa Amez Design and Modernly Events welcomed guests to the cocktail hour and brought a refined air to the evening, encouraging guests to enjoy both the luxurious outdoor patio and elegant, indoor banquet hall. DJ Casey Rusch masterfully hosted the reception events, including an intimate champagne tower, a cake cutting, and the most precious song dedication to Jenna’s grandparents who were celebrating their 57th anniversary. While the delicious food and aromas filled the banquet hall, Jenna and Steven stole outside for one last moment together. As the sun’s last light set over the tree tops, they made their way back inside, beckoned by the music and celebration of those they held closest to their hearts.

Jenna and Steven, after spending the weekend with your friends and family, we have an even deeper understanding and appreciation for the incredible story you both share. From meeting each other in college to celebrating your wedding day, your story reminds us all of the beautiful journey life can be when you are with someone who truly loves and cares for you. Your passion and concern for others is evident, your love for each other (and Roary) is clear, and your future is looking bright in all the most beautiful ways possible.
