Valerie + Josh | Engagement Shoot | The Amway | Grand Rapids, MI

The colors had taken their first steps towards their autumn counterparts as Valerie and Josh walked through the first few fallen leaves of the season. An evening that had begun with towering buildings and bustling traffic now opened up to a quiet end at a local park, a simply romantic end to a beautiful evening. Valerie and Josh walked, hand in hand, sharing laughter and stories from their journey together so far, and as the sunlight disappeared over the last treetop, we found ourselves looking at a couple whose story seemed to transport us back to the first days of our engagement story.

Valerie and Josh, you may not have known it, but you brought back so many good memories for us during your own engagement shoot. You both have such an enthusiastic outlook on life and your relationship with each other, a quality that we have found tends to get attacked as the world tries to drag you down or away from each other. Your spirits were such a clear reminder to us of how to support and lift each other up as a couple, and after traveling through the memories of your engagement session one more time, we are already so excited to be around your beautiful outlook on life again, and this time, on the day where you two will finally get to say “I do.”
