The sunlight danced off the downtown architecture as cheers erupted from the crowd. Angela and Will elegantly made their way down the sidewalk amidst shouts of “Congratulations!” and “You look beautiful!” These chants came not only from their guests in attendance, but also from the entire city of Detroit as pedestrians and motorists alike seemed to appear solely to celebrate the wedding of the D’Angelos. And yet, Angela and Will simply smiled, humble as always, and proceeded to thank each and every individual who cried out their congratulations. They knew that the party awaited them inside, and as they neared the grande entrance to the DAC, Will softly took Angela’s hand in his to escort her off into the rest of the evening.

History flowed from the walls of the Detroit Athletic Club as the morning of Angela and Will’s wedding finally arrived. The preparations were made throughout the morning, as the wedding celebration was thoughtfully designed to encompass both the DAC’s grand Banquet Hall and the cozy Reading Room. Angela was the image of perfection as she spent the morning with her girls before taking time to collect her thoughts and don her chic Sarah Seven bridal gown with the help of her mother. While Will and his groomsmen set about getting ready for the day, Angela had specifically designed the day’s timeline with family in mind, creating an opportunity to not only have a first look with her father, but also her beloved grandparents. The streets of Detroit became the perfect backdrop for the bridal party, as both bridesmaids and groomsmen escorted their friends towards the church to finally have the chance to see the love of their life. Old St. Mary’s cathedral loomed large in the midst of the downtown scene as wedding guests began to arrive. Once escorted inside, guests were welcomed by the truly awe-inspiring sight of the main sanctuary, adorned with stained glass windows and exquisite artistic elements. However, the true beauty of the room was realized when Angela, escorted by her father, walked into the room and into the sight of her soon-to-be husband. Traditions and vows were shared, and soon, Angela walked back down the aisle, but this time, with her husband, Will D’Angelo, by her side. Guests were welcomed back to the DAC as cocktail hour began, and while refreshments and libations were passed around, Angela and Will took on Detroit for a truly iconic bridal portrait session. The stunning Banquet Hall glowed with the candlelight emanating off of each table, and as Angela and Will entered amidst thunderous applause and the sounds of the Chateau Band, they knew that the greatest night of their lives was just getting started.

Angela and Will, who would have guessed that meeting you both over a year ago would eventually crescendo into celebrating your absolutely stunning wedding day with you. We found ourselves commenting to each other that neither of you ever stopped smiling throughout the entire day, even when the cameras were nowhere to be seen. Even though most would think that the smiles were because of the day, the decorations, or the dress, knowing you two makes it all too easy to know that the thing that kept you both smiling was each other. That unstoppable joy that you both bring to each other is such a gift, and we know that this past weekend was just the beginning of the joy you are going to bring to others as well!
