We all have somewhere we love to go to simply “get away from it all”. Sometimes it’s a special coffee shop, a secluded park in town, or a secret nook in our own home. Although none of us are sure why that specific spot is so special to us, we all know the peace that being there can bring us. But sometimes, that place isn’t just a place, it can also be a person. Someone who allows you to truly be you. Someone who knows you inside and out and love you all the same. Taylor and Matt have found that someone in each other, and after an evening with them, we were finally able to experience their connection first-hand.
On the evening of Taylor and Matt’s Engagement shoot, the bright sunlight seemed to muster the last bit of warmth possible as they walked through the fall leaves. With winter well on the way, Taylor and Matt were able to schedule their engagement shoot just in time before 50s and 60s became 30s and 40s. By starting with an elegant, jet-black evening outfit, both the Detroit Library and Detroit Institute of Arts became the perfect backdrop to accent how absolutely perfect these two are for each other. With buildings rising around them on all sides, a small park in the middle of the chaos sat like a safe haven, shielding them from both the wind and the hustle and bustle of downtown Detroit.
Taylor and Matt, the fun that you both bring to your classrooms was the perfect final ingredient to make your engagement shoot simply magical. Getting to finally meet Matt in person, in addition to seeing you both together for the first time, gave us a brand-new vision for your Detroit wedding; and now, we are more excited than ever! Soon, we’ll be walking the Detroit streets with you two again, but this time, it will be in a gorgeous wedding dress and a classy tux!
See you soon!
