Walking along the narrow path almost forced the two closer together. The sand, which felt hot and harsh in the sun, was cold and refreshing in the shade, and although the hill rose on one side and fell off on the other, Lizzie and Jake walked the path together as if they had walked it a thousand times before. Although one could hear the bustle of the Labor Day crowds just over the trees, the hill they walked on was secluded and quiet; the perfect location for us to spend the evening with them as they celebrated their engagement!
Whether you believe in coincidences are not, it’s hard to argue against the fact that some things simply seem like they have to happen. When we first met Lizzie and Jake over zoom, we were in awe when we heard that Lizzie’s parents were married at the same venue where she and Jake will say “I do” next year. Imagine our surprise when they also shared that their venue also happens to be the place where they first met each other! This adorable story gave us just a glimpse into who these two were, and thankfully, we were able to spend their entire engagement session learning about their story, their lives, and ultimately their love for each other!
Lizzie and Jake, the more we hear of your story, the more we are convinced that you two are a real-life couple from a hallmark movie, and the rest of us are simply living in your story! Between the laughter and the exploring we were able to enjoy with you two, the evening truly seemed to fly by, and we found ourselves sad to watch the sun cross over the horizon. We already knew that spending the whole weekend with you and your family next year for your wedding was going to be a highlight for us, but we are now more excited than ever!
See you soon!
