Erica + Joe | Engagement Shoot | New Buffalo, MI

How someone reacts when plans fall through can tell you a lot about them. Some people can throw up their hands in defeat, while other allow their emotions to get the better of them with frustration or anger. If you find out that your plans for your engagement shoot are foiled not only once, but twice, most would say that that would be a reason to be frustrated. But for Erica and Joe, these set backs provided a new path to an opportunity that many couples do not get to experience: having their engagement photos taken at the same place they will eventually say “I Do.”

Since Erica and Joe’s first set of plans for their engagement shoot fell through, their wedding venue, Etre Farms, graciously allowed the four of us to come and have the first part of their session on the beautiful campus. Etre being a dog-friendly venue made it the perfect fit as their dog, Garak, played a pivotal role in the fun of the evening. Erica’s choices in outfits perfectly matched the vibe of Etre and the sands of Warren Dunes state park for an evening that turned out even better than they could have planned!

Erica and Joe, the fun and energy you brought to your engagement photos perfectly tied the evening together. Between the timeless grounds of Etre and the romantic views at the beach, the two of you (along with Garak) could not have been more of a perfect couple for this session, and the fact that it wasn’t even our first option still blows us away. We already can’t wait to see you all again and celebrate with you all over again!
