Emily + Evan | Estate Engagement Shoot | E. E. Ford House | Detroit, MI

Strolling through the courtyard made us almost forget that snow was forecasted just a few days later. Trees that stood dormant all winter had just begun to bud, and a few early bloomers were already showing off their colors for the Ford House visitors to enjoy. Flowery trails riddling the ground with a feeling of enchantment, like one had stepped into the pages of a fairy tale. And in the midst of it all stood Emily and Evan, soaking in every minute of the beauty.

It only seemed fitting that their engagement shoot happened around the same time that Evan proposed to Emily: at sunset on the beach in Naples. Although the month of April had been plagued with bouts of harsh weather, Emily and Evan could not have picked a more perfect evening to celebrate their love at the Ford House. Not only were they able to almost have the estate to themselves; but Penny, their adorable puppy was even allowed to make an appearance and bring some laughter and fun to the evening.

Emily + Evan, it was only fitting that the flowers were just beginning to bloom last week, because we were able to see you two absolutely come alive during your engagement shoot! From learning more about your story to hearing your dreams for the future, we drove away feeling like the night could not get any better. Thankfully, we were able to disprove that quickly, as a quick scan through the evening’s images made us even more excited to share the beauty of the two of you together with the world. December truly cannot come fast enough for us!
