Grace + Brandon | A Majestic Wedding in the Mountains | Artist’s Point | Glacier, WA

As Grace stood before all of her friends and family, her mind drifted back over the past few years. Each and every step had led to this moment; and now, as she held Brandon’s hand, it was like she was finally given a bird’s eye view of the whole story laid out before her. It was beautiful, a tapestry of “coincidences” and “chance-meetings” between her and Brandon which culminated into this perfect day; a wedding in the clouds surrounded by those they held dearest. It was more than she could have ever imagined, and yet, if it were just she and Brandon, standing alone at the tip of the snowy peak and sharing their deepest feelings and thoughts through their vows…it would still have been more than enough that make this the most perfect day ever.

The wedding day of Grace and Brandon began long before most people’s alarm clocks sounded. Sunrise in the mountains is always a tricky element to account for, so an early morning enabled Grace and Brandon to prepare for the day together before embarking on their journey towards Artist’s Point. The world lay fast asleep as their blue Bronco slowly meandered its way up the mountain, searching for the perfect location for not only their first look, but the place that they would soon use for their ceremony as well. With the sun just cresting the far off peaks, Grace and Brandon were able to finally share a first look in the clouds, complete with a sunrise whose beauty was only rivaled by Brandon’s fiancé when he turned and saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. A media team at heart, Grace and Brandon wanted to maximize their time on the mountain, resulting in a photography session that some only ever dream of. Since the ceremony was scheduled far later in the day, a small break in the events of the day allowed for all to have a few hours of rest before the second half of the day’s festivities could begin. With everyone well-rested and prepared for the afternoon ahead, Grace and Brandon were accompanied by their loved ones back up the mountain and back to the very spot where hours earlier, they had shared the morning together. With a spectacular background filled with all the beauty the mountain range could offer, Brandon’s father officiated the ceremony as Grace and Brandon finally became the newest Mr. and Mrs. Goodman. After a few portraits with all present, Grace and Brandon spent one last bit of daylight by themselves, taking in the beauty of the creation around them and taking in the precious moments they were able to spend in private before joining everyone at the reception below. A few last minute changes transitioned the original reception location to a fairy-tale like setup at a nearby Airbnb, where dangling string lights and intricate details created the atmosphere of an elegant, forest glade. The candles illuminated the space with a warm, welcoming glow, as the laughter and joy spread around the table rose high above the guests and into the night sky, a perfect ending to the perfect beginning of a beautiful new life together.

Grace and Brandon, this wedding day…this one was special for us. Not many who read this will know the history that we have with you two, but the entire day felt like the crescendo to a symphony that we have had the front row seats for over the past couple of years. From first meeting on social media, to our first session together, to hearing about Brandon for the first time, watching you two become “Grace and Brandon” has been one of the highlights of the past few years for us. We know you both have such a beautiful, bright future ahead of you, and we just wanted to say that this season with you two has been one that we will never forget. Much love you two, and here’s to a beautiful marriage built on love, Jesus, and all of the great things we know you two are going to do together!
