Mackenzie + Connor | Lake Michigan Engagement Shoot | Warren Dunes State Park | New Buffalo, MI

Trying new things is one of the simple realities of life. Sure, you can spend minutes, hours, days, months, and years doing the exact same thing over and over again, and you might be able to survive. But what happens if you take a new path, a different direction; if you try something new for the first time? Mackenzie and Connor’s engagement shoot at Warren Dunes State Park was a night full of trying new things for all of us. Between Mackenzie and Connor saying that they don’t normally get photos taken of themselves and us arriving at Warren Dunes determined to try some new ideas in a familiar location, this night was going to be full of new things for all of us!

Thankfully, Mackenzie and Connor had nothing to worry about, as the next few hours were filled with laughter and some stunning portraits on the beautiful sand dunes of Warren Dunes State Park. From their stunning formal outfits to ending out the night with a casual touch, these two had perfectly planned out their evening to create an absolute win for their engagement photos, even down to scheduling a “day-of” makeup session with the incredible Allee Make-up! Combined with the fact that we will get to see Mackenzie and Connor again in 2023 at Etre Farms, this whole evening began us thinking about what new things we could try at Etre when we visit again next year!

Mackenzie and Connor, we know we thanked you multiple times during your session for being willing to try new things, and now that we see your gallery, we are more thankful than ever! You two brought a new life and spirit to our photos at Warren Dunes, and as we spent time with you, we realized that this life you brought to your photos is something that you bring into everything around you! We felt so full walking away from your session, and we truly believe it is because we got to spend the evening with you two! We already can’t wait to see you two getting married next year and to celebrate with you all over again!
